More Uber Billions For Urban Automation

Investors are throwing more billions at Uber. Sequoia, Tencent, TPG and SoftBank are looking to buy $8B in shares from employees and other shareholders. They’ll need the money. Automating cities isn’t cheap. Meanwhile, Google is suing for infringements on driverless car tech. Greasing local politicians will up the costs. But imagine the pay off. Fleets of driverless minivans moving New Yorkers to and fro. Combined, Yellow Cab, Uber and Lyft now execute around 700k rides per day. Mind blown.
